What's New?

A new Microsoft Active Directory Services class is being offered Fall term 2008 (August-December). The course number is CTS 2302. The prerequisite is CEN 1304 Microsoft Server Administration or equivalent.

Fall 2008 (August-December) classes are now available for registration.

• Most course numbers have changed for Fall term 2008. Go to the fall course advising page for information on what courses will satisfy your program requirements.

  • Networking Services Technology A.S./A.A.S Degree (2145/A145) using catalog years 2007/2008 and before.

  • Information Technology Technician (Desktop Support) Technical Certificate 6145 using catalog years 2007/2008 and before.

  • Information Technology Management (Systems Administrator) Technical Certificate 6146 using catalog years 2007/2008 and before.

The Networking Services Technology degree and associated certificates are changing beginning Fall 2008.

• Students currently taking the 2145/A145 degree, 6145 certificate or 6146 certificate can continue using their current catalog to complete those programs or change to the new catalog when it comes out. Students have five years to complete a program of study from the year the catalog was issued (e.g., 2007/2008 catalog requirements need to be completed by the end of summer 2012).

• New A145 degree proposed for Fall 2008.

• New Desktop Support certificate proposed for Fall 2008.

• New Systems Administrator certificate proposed for Fall 2008.

Information about the new Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.S.) degree in networking beginning Fall 2008 is now available on the FCCJ website.

College credit is now available for many industry certifications (i.e., A+, Network+, CNA, MCSE, CCNA, etc.). Individuals can now shorten the time it takes to get an A.S./A.A.S. Degree or Technical Certificate in Network Administration, Systems Administration or Desktop Support.
