A new non-credit vocational certificate program has been created to prepare students for entry-level jobs as network cabling installers. Initially only the first 150-hour course (EER 0052 Telecommunications/Network Cabling Installation) of this program will be offered. It's all you will need to begin working as a cabling installer apprentice. The course begins with the C-TECH PREP certified training program and is taught at South campus. Check the college schedule for specific dates.

Steps to take this program.

  1. If you are not already an FCCJ student then complete a membership application at the enrollment services office on any campus.
  2. Complete the Vocational TABE Testing at any campus.
  3. Register for EER 0052.
Note: If your TABE test scores are not satisfactory, you will be required to enroll in basic skills training before you can enroll in EER 0052.
  4. Purchase student supplies for the course.
